  • Pantages is considered a "boutique hotel," and it's a great place for a splurge vacation if you're tired of staying in those Best Western type places. The rooms are so reasonably priced and the make you feel classy. We stayed in one of the larger rooms that had a kitchen and common area. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen even had a tiny dishwasher. The bathroom had a huge tub and was exceptionally clean, and everything looked very new. I usually have a thing about walking around with my shoes off in hotel rooms, but I didn't think twice about strolling around in my bare feet. Did I mention clean? Other perks: good location, near shopping, theater and restaurants; has a diner attached that serves poutine; has a hip little bar in the lobby. One of the nicest places I've stayed in a long time that called itself a hotel.
