TLDR: hot food to-go; not-so-cheap prices; super cheap on special items; mediocre seafood selection;
168 Market boasts special prices on specialty items and you can hear the announcement in English and Mandarin every 30 seconds. The facility offers a wide selection of products including cooked, ready-to-eat foods. So you can shop and have lunch.
The quality of the meats and produce are okay. It ain't a pavilions or Bristol farms, but at least they try to maintain their quality. They had a variety of fish, but not as much as let's say Seafood City. I had a fantastic experience at the meat department. I needed a specific product at a specific quantity and they were very accommodating. I felt they went above and beyond to help me with my requests.
My checkout experience was positive. They bagged my products efficiently and with a smile. The checkout cashier was a standard experience: no smile, a generic greeting, efficient scanning, and talking in Chinese with her coworker. But I guess it isn't her job to make conversation with me right? Would I return? Probably.
