My first time at Papa J's and it was nice for a little spot in Carnegie. The service was good, food prices were reasonable and the quality was decent. Parking is conveniently located directly behind the restaurant. Walking in the place, not only are you greeted by the hostess but the cooks said hello and made us feel welcomed.
We were a large party and sat in their main dining room. The table was in the middle of the room and massive---perfect spot for a nice get together. It's a cozy little place with linens and a bit of class...nice. Our table ordered everything from carbonara to lamb chops to crab cakes. There was fresh balsamic and oil or butter for the bread...you know the drill. Their alfredo sauce had a different consistency between 2 orders and I'm not sure why. One was runny and the other the perfect consistency at the same temp. The lamb chops seemed to steal the show and the table raved about them.
It was a nice first visit to this place. I don't think I would go out of my way to dine here though. There wasn't a wow factor to lure me from the city out this way for GP.
