For our first time in Vegas as a family this was the perfect place to stay. It was just as flashy and as fun and easy to bounce from one sparkly distraction to the next without having to cover much ground or worry about cars. There is one intersection to be aware of but the rest is safe for wandering!
While we were bummed to miss it, they have a First Friday festival that sounded amazing! Every night is a total street party and the presence of jaw-dropping colorful people escalates a notch on weekends!
We loved the evenings and seeing the whole sky (ceiling) light up with scenes of our favorite music groups. On their website they post what time the different groups will be aired (so in our case it was easy to coordinate our Slotzilla zip line trip with our favorite band!). Plus they tell you which groups will be playing on the various stages.
Our Three Thumb Review gives it three thumbs up! My 11-year old gal loved seeing all the "costumes" (maybe they were, maybe they were just out clubbing). My 14-year old son loved the feeling of being where the action was and walking the line of entering "new territory" as far as life's experiences go. I loved the feeling of being able to be in the most historic part of Vegas but also being able to hop from place to place easily.
I asked the kids if they want to stay near Fremont Street or on the Strip next time we go and they both said "Fremont Street!"
