| - American Fusion Tapas. Rustic, dark, restaurant with friendly service.
Definitely order:
*Shrimp & Grits (9) - not to tomatoey, the grits was a polenta cake, best tapa
*Sweet & Spicy Green Beans (7) - Szechuan sauce, macadamia nuts, slighly sweet and spicy, great crunch
*Sweet Potato Gnocchi (8.5) - great texture and sweet potato flavor
*Meatballs Marinara (9) - very lean meat, great tapa!
*Pan Seared Scallops (17) - the collard greens were great while the pineapple was an interesting topping, perfectly cooked scallop
Try at your own discretion:
*Prosciutto Crostinis (9) - more of a baguette than a crostini, came out soggy and heavy
*Cured Meat & Cheese Board (14) - average board with 3 meats, 3 cheeses, baguette, honey comb, blackberry jam, spicy mustard
*Arugula Salad (10) - spiced watermelon, cornbread croutons, feta, lemon vinaigrette, very light and the flavors are untouched
*Zucchini Pasta (8) -spiral zucchini, pickled beets, pumpkin seeds, basil, smoked tomato vinaigrette, if you get the meatballs, that marinara makes this a lot better, cold pasta, wasn't memorable
Wasn't a fan of having to trek upstairs to be seated when the downstairs area had availability. Friendly service. Twinkle toes ($10) cranberry prosecco was good. Clean bathroom. There are plenty of tapas restaurants in Charlotte and Dandelion Market features fusion flavors like the green beans and the scallops but does a great job maintaining core flavors too - like the meatballs and arugula salad.
Stop by if you're not too adventurous or if you have a big group that wants to try it all for $295!
