  • This is a fun and educational zoo that is also free. One of the best places to go with kids in Madison! The enclosures and buildings for the animals are well maintained and safe, and the animals seem like they receive good care. The children's area is excellent. Every time I go, there have been new renovations and additions. It can be overly busy at times on beautiful days or holidays but that is to be expected.
