Stopped in for the 1st time today, ordered to-go. The place was completely empty- which should always be a red flag. Girl at the counter was very friendly, sweet and accomodating.
My order: combo appetizer (falafel, baba, hummus and dolmas), side of basmati rice, side of tzatziki. Got home and found I was given a side Greek salad instead of the rice...salad looked like it was made in the to-go container days ago: lettuce limp/brown, tomato/onion/cucumber on top all dried around edges...didn't eat any of it.
CONS:
- Falafel tasted good, but was the consistency of Play-Doh and very dry.
- Dolmas were complete mush inside
- Baba felt like it bubbled in my mouth, which was bizarre- not sure it was fresh- though the few bites I took did taste good. Couldn't get past that weird fizz.
- Where is my rice?!?! (perhaps my fault for not looking at the order before I left...but I shouldn't have to).
PROS:
- Hummus & Tzatziki were great- neither was too garlicy
- Pita was good and very fresh
- Friendly staff
- Restaurant appeared very clean
Would not recommend unless you're looking for nothing other than pita and hummus. I find it hard to believe entrees/meats would be any more fresh than the items I ordered today. Disappointing.
