| - In 2015, I booked at this nice inn for a conference. It was very easy to do, and I did it via Expedia, and it was non-refundable. However, my mother was stricken with terminal illness which made it impossible for me to go travel about on conference trips let alone spend a day without bursting into tears and loud oaths against fate. I needed to cancel the trip altogether but it would be a great financial loss to me, since I was living at the time in urban penury. I explained the situation to Mr. Ergin, the owner, and he was SO kind, compassionate, and angelically understanding. He not only expedited my refund (despite being under the weather himself), he mediated with Expedia's voluminous red tape and telephone apparatus to facilitate the refund. There's some twisty back and forth that has to be done if you want a refund for a non-refundable booking. I often dreamed of sending him a thank-you card that has glitter firecrackers and music pour out of it, or go and shake his hand myself and bring him a nice gift of gratitude, but I haven't been able to travel to Toronto in many years. Whatever the case, I look upon him as a singular gentleman even if I never had the privilege of meeting him. Service was prompt, courteous, and as mentioned above, beyond my wildest imaginings from a small business. I heartily recommend this place and its humane, exemplary personnel. Bless!
