| - Terrible customer service.
I came to this location only intending on tanning for one month. I tried to sign up for a silver level membership but I was told the stand up bed in that membership was not offered at this location; so I was therefore forced to sign up for the bronze level package. I came (white as a ghost) and tanned 4 separate times in a level 2 bed for 8 minutes and barely got any color. The lady at the front desk told me to try a stand up bed next time. From that point forward I only used the stand up bed because apparently the level 2 beds, that I was paying extra for, did not work.
Nearing the end of the month I was traveling out of town for work and knew since it was the 25th, I needed to go out of my way to a PBT location to cancel my membership. When I went into this location I found out I was not able to cancel from this location due to the way their computer system works. The next morning (26th) I called my "home" store and was told it was too late and I could not cancel my membership.
From there I decided to call customer service because I, a paying customer, was being penalized for not knowing how their computer system operates. When I signed the contract I was told I had to come in to cancel, and that I could tan ANYWHERE. They did not at any point say that I would be unable to cancel outside of my tanning district.
I spoke with customer service who offered me another month of free tanning, which I did not want, so then she told me she would have a district manager contact me. 2 days later and no word from a district manager, I decided to call customer service AGAIN, and left a VM. The next morning I was contacted by my store manager who told me it was my fault bc I did not call while I was out of town to cancel. She then proceeded to rudely hang up on me after I told her I wanted to speak with the district manager by the end of the day.
When I FINALLY spoke with the district manager, she told me that all she could do for me was offer me a free month of tanning, any month I wanted. She would not refund me my money and told me that they would have made an exception for me if I would have called to cancel since I was out of town, which I thought was funny because they would not be willing to make an exception knowing I came in to a store location (abiding my THEIR rules) to cancel when I was supposed to.
All in all, the customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. I will never tan at a PBT location ever again nor will anyone I know. Please spend your money somewhere else- somewhere that doesn't make you jump through hoops to get in touch with the right person and will make sure you get proper treatment.
