My cheer team recently stayed here for our 3 day cheer camp. The property is HUGE! I had no idea there was such a massive resort so close! We had most of our instruction held in the "big tent." It was pretty hot in there during the day, but the hotel provided lots of water. The actual rooms are all suites, so very large and comfortable (living room with separate bedroom area). We had 6 girls to a room and they had a blast!! The catering for the event was decent, but the staff working the food lines were all magnificent! Very friendly and quick to help!! Unfortunately I didn't have time to check out the water park, but definitely want to come back just for that!! How fun with kids!! Overall a great stay.
Loss of star was for two reasons 1) The building is old. It's a little run down and the AC seems like it could use some upgrading. I know it's 110+ degrees in July, but I'm a wimp and need all indoor areas to be under 80... 2) Upon check in a lady behind me complained that she wanted to see a manager due to the heat and wait time in the lobby. The poor lady was sweating from just standing in line! The manager was unbelievably unapologetic, only stating that there was nothing he could do. He even pointed out that his staff was sweating too... I get that he might not have been able to do anything, but saying you're sorry goes a LONG way!! I just didn't think he handled it appropriately. He should have offered her some water and at least apologized for the wait in the heat. You could tell she was furious and will likely not return.
