| - This place is frequently regarded as the "Best Ramen in Las Vegas", and when all the out of town friends visit, they would suggest a trip to Monta. But after their meal at Monta, not many positive reviews stem from their experience they had. Honestly, if you're going have that reputation as "Best of", people will hold you to a higher standard.
I would say the service here is good: the servers are friendly, the food comes out fast, generally a clean restaurant, and the wait is not too long (30 mins during busy times). The kitchen is open with a bar counter for customers to see their food being made.
Onto the food, and the reason why this is given only three stars. It is unfortunate to say that Monta's food is only standard. You can find this kind of quality ramen at any restaurant that is dedicated to making only ramen. The broth is good, but other ramen places in Vegas can and have achieved the same results. The toppings are what you'll find at other ramen shops: butter, nori, chasiu, canned corn, green onion etc etc.
I will say that i do stop by Monta frequently for a bowl of ramen, however I would not make this a destination restaurant. There are other ramen houses in Las Vegas that are producing at the same level.
