Caveat Emptor. We hired this estate sale company last summer to help us with downsizing and a move from Madison WI to Austin TX. Susan recommended a gentleman who would charge $50/hr to haul items from our home to the TOPS showroom. We ended up paying him $1000, although he made at least one trash one, so being generous let's say $500 went to hauling items to the showroom. Once the items were there, I was charged $122.50 for processing and tagging. The total proceeds I received came to $250, which means that the whole experience actually COST ME $375. Susan will say we did not end up sending in all the items we planned to, and admittedly we did give a few items to family & the people who bought our house, but at $50/hr, the gentleman Susan recommended spent AT LEAST 10 hours hauling items from our home to the showroom, and that implies quite a few items. I would have been MUCH better off just giving the items to friends and family.
