A colleague insisted on a lunch here, I was skeptical at first but as we descended into the dungeon-esque bar area I felt a sweep of cool air and the smell of greasy food. And these are two of my favorite things *queue music*
The basement bar area was so crisp and cool on at 120+ degree day in Phoenix. The bartender greeted us as we entered and urged us to sit where we wanted. It was dim but reminded me of pubs in Ireland. We picked a cushy, big booth and got comfortable. The menu was different, all day brunch for example, and your typical Mexican fare.
Ordered a salad and a cheese enchilada, all entree plates come on a tortilla. Food was not as good as I had hoped it would be, but the atmosphere made up for it.
