I discovered this place through D, D & D. Of course I had to try the short rib grilled cheese. We also ordered the pork belly bao and chicken teriyaki bowl. The grilled cheese was okay, I couldn't see or taste the onion jam and the dipping sauce tasted like marinara but maybe it was supposed to? The meat was good but missed that pop of flavor. I figured I could make a pot roast and make the same thing at home. The bread wasn't even grilled long enough to get that nice crunch on it - see photo. So although it was fair, I wouldn't go back. The pork belly in the bao was dry. Like it had been sitting around all day. The chicken bowl lacked flavor.
The service was really good. The server was friendly and took time to explain the menu and our questions well. Also, I have a peanut allergy and I heard her say it to the cook twice so I really appreciate that she took it seriously!
