  • This was my second visit to The Imperial. It's a nice upscale bar with great live jazz. Drink prices are a little steep, but about average for craft cocktails in Charlotte. Maybe last night was an off night. I saw only one server for the seated area and service was very slow. I asked the server to bring our check when she brought our 2nd drink. It took 20 minutes (and a reminder) to get our drinks, but still no check. She forgot to bring one of the drinks and it finally showed up as we were ready to settle up for the night. My friend spoke with the Manager and told him she no longer wanted the drink and didn't want to pay for it. They wouldn't take the drink off her check and the manager was not the least bit concerned that we were displeased with the service. I really enjoy jazz, but I don't know if I will go back.
