  • I wish that yelp allowed negative stars so that I could give a more accurate assessment. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 10.24. When we got to the gate we were informed that it had been moved to 1.00 because the plane was coming from Atlanta and delayed because of weather. This is understandable but a text or email that I signed up for would have been nice. They boarded all the passengers at 12.30 but a flight attendant informed us that they sent the pilots home because they did not want to pay them overtime and we were waiting for new pilots from Salt Lake City. After about 45 minutes the plane was emptied because the Salt Lake pilots were not arriving until 4. I called Delta and they would not allow me to change flights without a charge because my flight was still leaving at 4.00. I had a connection in New York with my family for a spring break in Italy. We have been saving for 2 years for this trip. We went to the gate at 3.15 to board and it was quite strange that no one from Delta was around. Finally a fellow passenger was able to talk to someone and we were all informed that the flight had been cancelled. The Delta web site still showed the flight leaving at 4.00. Delta sent all the passengers to another gate to rebook. They had 4 lines open until 2 agents told us sorry it was time to clock out and just left. I did receive a text that the flight had been moved to 4.30. I ran back to the gate only to find out that the pilots had arrived but the flights attendants were sent home because Delta refused to pay overtime. We are still at the airport trying to find a flight. It has been almost 12 hours. Please share and avoid Delta at all costs. They are liars.
