It's hard to believe It's taken me this long to write a review about Erie Island Coffee Company! Erie Island has been my go-to coffee shop for several years, especially when I was in graduate school and I needed to find a place where I could park all day and get stuff done. Erie Island was a great place to work because they opened early, closed late, and offer free WiFi. The bar top was the perfect place to park for hours and type away because of the easily accessible surge protector on the bar. It's so nice not to have to search for a seat near an outlet.
The environment overall is really welcoming and the food and coffee are top notch. In the summer they raise the industrial garage doors that make up the walls so that customers can enjoy the breeze. In the winter you can enjoy the warmth and glow of a centralized fireplace.
While I'm not one for specialized coffee drinks, their drip coffee is really amazing. I love that they sell it so that I can also enjoy it at home. I've also enjoyed several of their baked goods, smoothies and crush sandwiches (aka super cheesy paninis). They offer veg and vegan options too, which is a plus. Lastly, I love that Erie Island is a local company that supports other local businesses and artists. They sell local goodies, including Cleveland Bagel company bagels, and they also hang/sell local art. Honestly, what more could you want?
