Poor communication skills
I called Chelish with worries because my event was only 10 days away, and she told me not to worry because she would still be able to decorate for me. I called her two days later and she immediately put me on hold for 20 minutes. I hung up and called her again. A man answered, and he was incredibly rude. I heard her whispering and telling him what to say. He was very demeaning and demanded that I make an appointment even though she previously told me it's fine if I cannot come in because I live out of town. He couldn't contain his passive aggression for the short 5 minute conversation, and she only encouraged his behavior as I heard her whispering in the background. He kept raising his voice saying "you waited too long." They could have EASILY told me they couldn't take the order in such short notice. I'm guessing they just lack basic communication skills, which are very important skills for a florist. Chelish is really good at making rude comments and calling you "honey" in the same sentence to try to smooth it over. I eventually went to Midway Florist and was incredibly pleased with the quality of customer service.
