  • Really frustrated with all of the hidden fees they have. Trash valet is non-negotiable because the owner of the whole complex wants more money. $25 a month so my trash can sit on my doorstep which is just a few feet away from the dumpster. The glamorous "Element Living Package" makes you pay that along with $100 a month for cable that I don't use as well as wifi, adding up to an extra $125 total on top of your rent. The company also sent out emails stating that you would get the first month free if you moved in before a certain date but when I brought it up at the lease-signing, they said the deal had ended even though I had an email THAT DAY stating that the deal was still going on. The office people just said that it was an automated system that they meant to stop, but they should still uphold that deal if they send it out to hundreds of people, right? Just recently they changed all of the faucet restricters in the apartments and if you want to fill a pan with water for pasta, I hope you have an extra 15 minutes because it's nothing more than a dribble coming out. The toilets have also been swapped out to "save water" but everything takes 2 flushes and doesn't seem to be helping this drought situation at all. Probably the most disgusting thing about living here is that people do not pick up after their dogs. The small dog park is close and convenient but it's like walking through a minefield, and when I go to the big dog park it's the same situation but at least your dog gets some room to walk. The big dog park has a great light system set up around it but somebody has removed the knob for the light timer and they still haven't replaced it. I would really appreciate if this could be fixed because maybe people would stop using the excuse of "well I can't see out there to pick up the dog's waste at night."
