  • This place is super cool! Pun intended! This location is inside Mandalay Bay, and we had a bit of trouble finding it at first. We finally asked one of the very friendly security guards at the Casino to point us in the right direction. Its upstairs from the Starbucks, so if you can find Starbucks you can find Minus 5. When you pay, there is no mention (or sign that I could see) that phones/cameras are not allowed. I had googled all of this before-hand, so I was already aware. When we got to the lockers we were read the Riot Act about not bringing our phones in, and to lock them inside the lockers. They say this is because of the temperature of electronics, and the all ice interior that doesn't mix very well. I totally get it. I bought the two drinks package, and my boyfriend got the basic entry and I gave him one of my drink cards. There is only 4-5 drinks on the menu, and they're all pretty fruity. They are served in all ice glasses, which is pretty cool. There was a woman inside who had a DSLR and took pictures of us wherever we wanted so we were able to purchase those after we left. We had a great time just hanging out and admiring all the ice. I probably wouldn't visit this location again unless I was taking people who hadn't been before, since its one of those things that when you have done it once, that's all you need. I would be inclined to visit their other locations though, depending on what differences there are in the ice sculptures. Its a great "once in a lifetime" date, and I think the prices are fair for what you get.
