| - I had transgender surgery top and bottom from a very good surgeon who has his own office. I have a great syndrome that caused him to have to put me in the big hospital in case I coded again. I woke up after my 5 1/2 surgery and almost instantly complained of my biceps hurting in both arms. I asked the nurses to shortly massage them because they hurt so bad. There were around 11-15 different nurses that came to my room that I had asked each of the within a 4-5 hour period for help ,and only one of them massaged the pain out of my biceps, all the others turned away and walked away without even responding. I was using 4 ice packs on my back at all times, when they would melt, my sheets and pillows under my legs would get wet. I asked at least 6 different nurses for new ice packs and new bedding because I was needing new ice packs and I was freezing because I have been laying in a cold soaking wet bed for hours. I had 2 nurses that said ok, and left. They never came back. I called my surgeons office and let them know the facts and that I am being poorly taken care of. The surgeons office called the nurses station to tell them to up my meds, and change my bedding. It took them probably nearly 15 mins to change my bedding. A little bit later, aloud beep was going off, my girlfriend turned it off quickly and ran to tell a nurse what happened and what it said. She also informed the nurse that the baby was sleeping in my arms on the bed and to please be quiet. The nurse 'Misty' said, "well, how old is she?" my girlfriend said, "13 months". Misty said, she shouldn't be sleeping with him in there anyways, with all the germs. " Misty then knocked hard and fast 3 times and came in fast and loud. I said," SHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! " Misty proceeded to come in just as loud and grab the bag asking me," how long has this been going off? " I replied again," SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! " Misty said," Has it even been changed!? " Throwing her arms up at at me and walking out of the door saying," let me go get someone else. We asked for the head nurse and got a couple other nurses. We were informed that this is a non profit hospital. But still, I exclaimed we should not have been treated this way for any reason. The nurses were then telling us, " well she doesn't know your story, she doesn't know if you have an infection or anything, she really doesn't know you." I said, "exactly why she should not have told us where my daughter should not sleep. I am a damn good dad and make great and safe decision for my kids and I get very defensivedont mind if people stay trying to tell me how to parent my children." They said, " well I really don't believe she meant it like that." I told them I do not want her back in my room." I would not recommend this hospital at all to anybody unless you are ok with being mistreated and belittled. I've had about 16 nurses within 2 days, and only, 2 of them have been pleasant and respectful.
