  • This place is a solid, beautiful spa -- and really the only one I've found in the area to compete with John Roberts in terms of polished professionalism and ambiance. AND it really exceeds John Roberts when it comes to ambiance -- the interior of the spa in Lakewood is stunning and makes you feel at peace. It's also just so cool that it's in an old converted house (not a storefront). Only thing that keeps me from 5 stars is that it's very pricey. I've been to a lot of spas and left this one feeling like the services didn't quite align with the price tag -- or, to be more specific, the Shirodhara massage was not quite worth the price tag to me. After a basic massage, the masseuse essentially pours a lot of oil on your head and just lets it flow through -- no accompanying deep head massage like I had assumed if someone is pouring a canister of oil on your head! Then my head / hair was just oily for days -- was actually considering going to a salon to pay to get it professionally washed... lol.
