| - This school started out being so great, the girl at the front desk who gave our tour was so sweet, the older woman who also worked the front desk and drove the school bus was nice and very helpful..my daughter loved her teacher, she was coming home with art projects daily and always talked about school.. Then after only a few months of being enrolled it literally all changed. The entire front desk staff? Gone. Her teacher? Gone.
There was a new new director, Kira.. she seemed young but very sweet so I gave it a chance, because I get it.. Daycares have high turn overs.
But everyday I was dropping my daughter off in different classrooms that had anywhere from 5-10 kids with one teacher.. And some days she would go at the end of the hall with all the older kids where there were at LEAST 15 kids (they varied in ages 2-6) with only ONE teacher..
Everyday her belongings were in the wrong cubby... She came home with huge bruises and the teachers would always say how they are "just filling in", so they don't know what happened..
Again, I overlooked it and I figured with all the new changes going on, they needed a few weeks to get a groove going.
Then on a Tuesday my daughter woke up with pink eye (it's daycare, bound to happen..not a big deal)
So I took her to the DR and got eye drops and immediately called her school to inform them, so that her teachers (and all the teachers of the classrooms she bounces around to) would be made aware and do the proper cleaning/sending kids blankets home/etc.
I was told by our DR she would need to be on the eye drops for a full 24 hours before returning to school and would need to continue the eye drops every 4 hours for the next 7 days.
So Friday, she went back to school and I made sure to label her meds in a plastic baggie with the times that she would need eye drops and I even called the day before to make sure it wouldn't be an issue to administer them. They said it was no problem.
So my first issue, when she was dropped off, her teacher had NO IDEA that she had pink eye and was never informed (so clearly no cleaning was done.. That didn't sit well with me).
Then that morning I called at 11am (drops were supposed to be given at 10:45a) and the girl who answered the phone seemed confused and then was like "uhhh yea she got them, there wertr no issues, thanks!" So this made me suspicious.
So at 2:15 I started watching on camera to make sure her meds, scheduled for 2:45 would be given. They woke from their naps around the time I started watching (2:15ish), I watched as my daughter woke up.. Sat at a table and waited while all the other kids slowly woke up, then they had a snack.
I kept watching, and at 2:45 (the time for her next drops) nobody came.. I watched until 3... While they played, still no one came. So I called. The girl at the front desk (I believe her name was Penny) said "umm I'm not sure, let me go check the clip board.." Then she gets back on the phone and says "umm yes, her drops were given at 2:45 as requested!" So I just said ok, and kept watching, because maybe they got busy and forgot? And maybe my phone call would remind them? Nope!
I watched the cameras until I left to pick up my daughter at 3:30, never once did anyone come in to give her eye drops, never once did she or ANY of the children LEAVE the classroom. So that's when I reached my breaking point.
I arrive to pick up my daughter at 4pm and I immediately ask the DIRECTOR Kira about the eye drops. She grabs the clip board and says "yes, they were given at 10:45 and 2:45, I did them myself at 10:45 and Penny did them at 2:45"
I thought to myself, hmmm funny Penny did them at 2:45 because when I called at 3 and she had no idea what I was talking about.
So I asked the director, "are you sure she had them at 2:45? Because I was watching on camera and I didn't see anyone take her?"
And she said "oh...uhh, yes, we grabbed her while they were doing a project in the hall right after nap!" ( lie..they never did a project in the hall, I watched them for over an hour) so I just smiled and left..
The fact that the DIRECTOR would LIE to my face was the icing on the crumbling cake of this unprofessional center! Even when I called to take her out of school the director tried to blame Penny and said she was "fired immediately" (even though she, the DIRECTOR lied to me as well!)
We left and never looked back, and I'm glad because a week later another location was all over the news!
