This venue is very open and airy. You have a good view of the stage from almost anywhere you're standing. They even have TVs that show the stage at the bars so you're not missing out on anything. I also liked how they had two industrial sized ceiling fans going on throughout the show. My biggest gripe when I watch a show is how short I am and being surrounded by huge sweaty guys who don't have a care in the world for hygeine, but the fans had such high power that they turned off one every 20 minutes or so because it actually got too cold.
I came during opening night for Awolnation, so I can't be too sure if I need to blame SLS security or the Foundry but there was no one around to do line control. There was the Dine N Dash event going on at the exact same time so the lines for people trying to get food were clashing into the concert line. There were no signage or staff to direct anyone appropriately. It irritated me as I usually have to assist with lines at my other jobs and I felt like this was basic 101 stuff considering these were two huge events going on. They also pre scanned the tickets in line and never rechecked them at the front so I felt like it was unnecessary for me to even buy a ticket as anyone could've just hopped in line.
I am giving them the benefit of the doubt as this was opening night but they need to get their shit together.
