I'm a little biased because I grew up in Las Vegas while larger corporate hotels overshadowed the value of arts , music, food and local culture. On my most recent visit to the Life is Beautiful festival in downtown , I spent an entire afternoon here with my cousins. I sampled 3 types of coffee all of which remind me of my trip to Madrid. I thoroughly enjoyed the iced honey lavender latte and a single shot of espresso . I also sampled a lox bagel, empanadas , and several other conceptually dynamic appetizers. The food is tasty but it can use a little fine tuning. More focus on composition of flavors rather than the presentation would take the dishes to the next level. The fried plantains make an appealing garnish but they add little to the overall taste. Maybe soft plantains would make more sense. Service was very friendly but slow and that's great if it is the vibe they are going for. Stay a while. Chat. Siesta!
