| - Most visitors to Las Vegas take in the great performances in Reynolds Hall - one of the most satisfying acoustic experiences in America. I've been fortunate enough to witness stage plays (West Side Story), acrobatics (Australian "cirque du soleil") and concert performances (Diana Krall - superb!).
Little known to LV visitors is the intimate Cabaret Jazz just next door to Reynolds Hall. Perhaps more of a Las Vegas "local" scene, but last night was a world class concert by David Perrico and his Pop Strings Orchestra. 8 beautiful string players (angels?), clad in white dresses, 5 horns/reeds. bass, drum, keyboards, percussion and 5 singers sharing the stage. From Sammy Davis Jr. to Bruno Mars, as well as original composition by Perrico and lead singer, Naomi Mauro. A gift to treasure. Well done, DP, et al!
