rev:text	Everyone who comes to see my new kitchen remodel gets to hear me talk about The Yard, because my granite countertops get so much attention. I am an exceedingly thorough shopper. What takes others days takes me months, because I go everywhere and compare quality and prices, while learning as much as I can. Needless to say, I had shopped at many well-known natural stone facilities in Phoenix and its environs. Upon entering The Yard, my 10 year old daughter and I were greeted by AJ. It was a sweltering summer day and she had to get out of the heat. He took her to their very nice office, got her water, set her up with the WiFi and between the office ladies and PBSkids.org, she was happy as a clam. Their collection of slabs and smaller remnants was surprisingly good! The inventory is quality. Here there are only one or two slabs per kind, which was fine for me, and one reason they offer such amazing prices. You're not going to find 10 consecutive slabs, but you are going to find some GORGEOUS pieces. It made me feel like I had come upon a hidden treasure trove. I just wasn't expecting it at all. I figured I'd pick up a small piece for my bathroom countertop, which I did find, but I also went crazy over a 3cm slab of mascarello for my kitchen. AJ was a courteous gentleman, who had slabs moved and displayed, was readily available to answer questions and was patient! I also had a conversation with the owner, who was not only friendly, but I could tell he was a man of good character. I will continue directing people to The Yard, since I have already ferreted out that it is the best place to buy your slab or remnants!
