| - Nope. Not impressed. If you guys have never had Ice Pan (refer to my review) that was originally located inside Harrah's Casino, then you will never really know what good quality rolled ice cream is. Sadly, those guys closed and was supposed to relocate to southern California last time I looked.
Took my fam on a saturday afternoon 3/4/17. The line was almost going out the door. Since we were in no rush to go anywhere, we decided to get in line (although I muttered under my breath that this place better be good to warrant waiting this long).
As we stood in line we watched over and over again as the employees created rolled ice cream one after another. I noticed there were four stations but only three were in service. You would think they would have all four in operation since the line was literally going out the door by the time we got up to the front which was about 30 minutes.
We decided to just share a large ($5.99) S'mores house creation which we added mini oreo's for 50 cents more. This concoction is made up of House Cream (I assume that its whole milk from the way it tasted), Graham Cracker, Chocolate Chips, and Toasted Marshmellow.
Taste wise nothing really stood out for me. Even my wifey and kids who were dessert aficionados were not impressed at all. They even mentioned Ice Pan was better and I agreed for those were my same thoughts as I took the first taste.
Service was sub par. After receiving our concoction, we stood at the end of the counter to pay. After a couple minutes I told my fam to just start eating because it was already starting to melt. We could have just easily walked out without paying but we dont roll like that. Finally one of the employees came up to us so we can pay.
In closing, I thought our experience was not worthy of a return trip. Long lines, sub par service due to not enough staff, and having a better experience at Ice Pan didnt help in justifying coming back here. Ice Pan had way more options like non dairy milk, soy, almond, non fat milk etc as their cream base. They even had taro as one of their base flavors of cream and service was always on point for they were a family run business.
