This post is 5 years too late but still relevant. Back in 2011 I tool my car there because the check engine light would come on and the vehicle kept shutting off. I went there and paid over 350 bucks and they said the air intake manifold was leaking. They claimed they fixed it, I came back in 2 days later, same problem. They then said they reset computer, 2 days later, same problem. I spent more money and he said it was a dirty air filter, it finally fixed the problem.
The manager took cash from me during that first transaction and tried to distract me about getting a receipt and change. He put 500 cash in the drawer and printed the receipt but I asked for one and my change. He had to dig into the register to get it.
He got defensive about the repair saying he had witnesses about sealing the air intake.
Honestly I believe all he kept doing was resetting my computer by disconnecting the battery and he never made the repair. I gave the car to my son this year, had a mechanic check it over and told him about said repair, he said it was clear that repair was never made. So they swindled me out of almost 500 bucks for a 20 dollar air filter.
