Dr. Simonson is as good as it gets. I've been taking my Weimaraner's to her since 2006- back then she was Dr. Swogger! I was lucky enough to have found her and even more so for my pets. I had a middle aged Weimaraner who had an ACL tear in one leg repaired about a year and a half earlier and sure enough, we were in for the other one less than two years later. I was so worried. This was my college dog. The one you get right after you graduate that just knows you and loves you unconditionally. THE DOG. She could read what I was thinking by the look on my face and would sit and wait looking out the window on the couch all day waiting for me to come home to play tennis ball. The last surgery had been so hard on her and I was terrified for the next one. Dr. Simonson set my mind at ease and did such a great job repairing her knee. Sydney then developed some strange issues with her liver, which gave us a cancer scare. It seemed as though we were seeing Dr. Simonson almost every other month at times. It got to the point that Sydney knew to run in the door and wait on the scale to be weighed so she would get her treat. She was always happy to see Dr. Simonson. I can remember one particular time where I had left Sydney for observation and when I picked her up the staff told me Dr. Simonson had kept her in her office all day keeping an eye on her- she was one of her favorite patients. Back in November 2011 we had to say goodbye to our dear sweet friend. I can't think of anyone else I would have rather had with me to help me through that difficult time- she was a Godsend. I've recently toured the new and beautiful office at Norterra. It is a reflection of Dr. Simonson's passion for her work and commitment to her patients. If you haven't been by to see the facility you should be sure to stop in and take a tour- truly remarkable. We will be following Dr. Simonson wherever she goes. She's an angel.
