| - I literally just finished getting my wrist pierced by Peter and decided to write this review before my endorphin 'high' wore off. Though this makes my 25th piercing, I haven't been pierced in about 4 years. Very simply, I'm extremely impressed with this place.
I found The Piercing Shop on Yelp last Thursday and decided to go in and ask questions. After speaking with Peter for several minutes I quickly came to the conclusion that this guy was extremely patient answering all my questions. I then went back on Friday and spoke with Dana - also very helpful and patient. I find it very rare to go into a piercing/tattoo shop (this is only a piercing shop), talk to multiple people, and not receive some kind of attitude. This place has none - I'm amazed -and grateful- at how friendly and knowledgeable they both were.
One week later and I have my new wrist piercing (yay). I think the longest part of the piercing process was filling out the release form. Peter guided me through what he was going to do and before I knew it he was done...literally seconds...bam...it was in. Though I wanted a ball on my wrist (as I've had my wrist done twice before with separate barbells), I respected his advice and went with a somewhat flat disc with a cubic zirconia - bling, baby, bling...very happy with the single - definitely going to be easier healing this than my previous barbells. And I can always change it out later once it has healed.
Knowledgeable, friendly, great customer service, quality work...above all that, I think what I found most impressive is that they knew who Elayne 'Angel' Binnie is...not very many shops that I've gone into know who she is...and in my opinion, knowing the history of piercing and landmark piercers reflects respects for the art and makes for a quality shop.
Tip: bring cash just in case, though there are several banks in the area.
