After staying 2 nights in a hotel for $399 and change, all in, here are the things I noticed or have happened:
- Plumbing works.
- No bed bugs.
- A complimentary room upgrade to a king size bed room
- Gym has working exercise machines, great view, clean locker/bathroom/gym area
- Parking for 29$ a night was a kick in the gut
- No room safe. A first for me in a posh hotel.
Had a wedding to go to and Eaton Chelsea, among many others, were close proximity to it. One reason I didn't check it off my list was because of the advertised free wifi in the rooms.
The wi-fi signal was generally non-existent in the room. You had to park yourself by the door to the hallway to get a good signal.
So I could have chosen a cheaper hotel with no wifi. Still, it was a decent place to stay. It has a nice semi-luxury feel without any sketchiness, and proximity to the downtown is fairly nice.
But I'm a simple guy for finding hotels: proximity to my "reason for visit" venue, cheap or free parking, cleanliness and free wifi.
The wifi and the parking are why I gave it 3 stars.
