| - When I booked the hotel the reviews weren't too bad, so I chanced it...
First night I called for shuttle pick up from the airport. The hotel is 10 minutes from the airport. It took 40 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. He had a fresh Starbucks though. The driver was careless leaving me with a lovely headache when we arrived. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Quick service.
The room: the security latch was broken. The desk and dresser were extensivly scratched and well worn. There was nothing special; 2 beds, a sagging lumpy arm chair, desk with chair and large window with a long piece of metal to hold it closed. The window gave a nice view of the pool and the dirt lot behind it. There was a deadbolt on the door that worked. The walls are very thin. You can hear everything going on. When another room turned on the AC, it sounded like an airplane in the room. You hear Everything! I left the tv on to drown out some of the noise. The shower takes a few minutes to warm up but it had good pressure. There is a large well lit vanity just outside the bathroom. The beds were comfy and warm. And the maids came in everyday to tidy up.
The maids were freindly and helpful. The front desk associates were friendly and on top of taking care of the guests. The employees are all this place has going for it. All but 1 were extremely pleasant and super helpful. They seemed to enjoy their jobs, which was refreshing.
The front desk offers ice cold water for $1, a pretty good deal!
The continental breakfast was toast, toaster waffles, toaster pancakes, rice, pickled radishes and hard boiled eggs. My kid was happy. I ran across the street to Starbucks or Panera bread each morning.
It's fairly close to the strip.
The pool closes at 7pm. But it was nice, shallow, only 5 feet deep. It had a fountain in the middle. It wasn't really hot enough to use, but my kid jumped in and had a blast.
You are getting a good deal but the thin walls are a serious issue.
