  • Franktuary is appropriately named. Amid the hustle and bustle of Downtown Pittsburgh, this hot dog-selling sanctuary was a cute little place to unwind. Located in the basement of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Franktuary is warm and cozy with awesome background music (alt. rock mostly). I ordered the Thai'd Up Frank, which had Sriracha, chopped peanuts, mango, and cilantro, among other things. It was creative and satisfying, although I was a little put off by the cold mango and the warm hot dog combination. I like my food to share temperatures. Otherwise I would've given this place 5 stars. The service was excellent, and the presentation was adorable. My food tray consisted of my hot dog, a hand wipe, and a complimentary gummy hot dog candy for dessert.
