I decided to go to Focal Point Salon bc it had great reviews and is in a convenient location for me. I have bounced around to a couple places hoping to find a stylist to become loyal to. At the time of my haircut I had very long, medium thick hair. I asked for a trim and if the stylest could blend my lower layer... I only got the opposite.
Like Jo T.'s review, the stylist was very nice and we kept a great conversation during my visit. That is about where the pros stop.
The stylist that cut my hair did opposite of a trim. She gave me crazy blunt layers and the length of my hair in the end was completely uneven. So uneven that the right side of my hair length was basically missing. After washing it myself I realized the extremity of the massive mess I now had for a hair cut. I emailed the owner pictures of my hair and gave her about 5 days to get back to me. After not hearing anything I called the salon and spoke to the manager. He urged me to come in so they could fix it.
The ending result was the worst possible option. If you have long hair or are trying to grow your hair out you know how precious every inch is. Well, they had to cut almost a foot off my hair to make it look somewhat normal. There was no salvaging anything. When I came into get my original mess fixed the woman fixing it didn't actually have time to give me a style so she told me to schedule another appointment so she could work on my style... Um no... I ended up going to my colorist and he buttoned up the loose ends. Needless to say I went from long hair to a shoulder length bob against my will.
The only reason I gave this salon 2 stars is because the manager was amazing to work with. The owner has still never reached out to me. Thanks for the bob.
