  • Don't use this company!!! They are one of the primary companies for my home warranty company, so I was left with no choice. I had my $300 faucet in my kitchen go bad, and the tech came out and informed me that he could replace it, but it would be with a builders quality faucet. No way am I downgrading. So the tech told me I could do a cash-out with the warranty company, and they would pay me $250, which would give me enough to pay him to install it, and the rest go to a new faucet. Sounded like a good deal, so I asked the tech if he was sure about $250. He said, and I quote "I'm not sure if it will be $250, but it will be enough to cover my charge to install it, and maybe some left to help pay for the faucet." Great deal, so I told him great, go ahead. He scheduled a time to come back on Monday to install, and I went and purchased the faucet. Since this was late on Friday, I was not able to call the warranty company until this morning, and by the time I got off-hold with them, he was done installing it. He did a great job installing it, though he had to ask for my help several times, and complained about having to move stuff out from under the sink. Once I finally got ahold of the warranty company, I was told my cash-out would be $90. Not even enough to cover his fees, let alone any to the faucet. So, I called Ideal and told them about my conversation. The woman I talked to kept insisting I contact the warranty company, but she was too dense to understand that the technician is at fault, because he told me it would be enough to cover his fees to install it. I used no bad language, but she threatened to hang up if I continued to argue with her. Finally, I just gave up and put a stop-pay on the check I gave the tech. I'll let them sue me for the check, and then I will waste their time and money trying to collect on it. I might even take them to small-claims court, just in principle. In short, DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! If you have a home warranty, tell them you WILL NOT do business with this company, and insist they send another company. I wish I had done this before I called my warranty company.
