Here is what I emailed their corporate email about my experience. They forwarded it to the local store manager who chose to not respond. I highly recommend not using the tailor here.
I would just like you to know that I have been to your tailor shop several times in the past and they have done an excellent job. However during my last interaction with them this was not the case. I brought in 5 pants and two jackets to be altered on December 4, 2016 and was charged $150. I received several calls from the tailor shop and returned to your store 5 times for several issues that they were having with my clothes. The first three times they forgot my measurements so I had to come to the store and try all my clothes on again and get measured again each time. This is a huge loss of time and expense for me. The fourth time I was there I was asked to come to the store because they lost a pair of my pants and wanted to know if I took them. At this time the tailor had to measure me again because she lost my measurements. She also tried to charge me more money because she was inconvenienced to do extra work by calling me back and taking measurements. I told her I would not be paying more and that she could just give me my clothes her response was "ok, nevermind I'll do it".
I received a phone call on Jan. 14 stating that I could finally pick up my clothes. I arrived at the store and asked the man there if he was sure my clothes were done. I was asked for my receipt to which I explained that I have been there 5 times and the woman who helped me kept the receipt. After being berated for not having a receipt he abruptly answered "well they were hanging on the done side" and handed me my clothes (including the originally lost pants). I explained to the man that it had been over a month that they had my clothes. He went on to explain that we were lucky and it should have taken longer and that he is too busy to worry about it.
I arrived home and checked my clothes and two pairs of my pants were not done. I was charged $35 per pair of pants because the tailor said they had to be taken in as well as the hem. I would really like a refund of my money for the two pants. I am not looking to get them fixed by your tailor again since I don't want to deal with them anymore. This is why I didn't go to them again and complain. They don't care anyway. Please respond to me as soon as you can and let me know how we can resolve this. I don't mean to threaten but I have considered going to the news outlets so that others know not to frequent Burlington's tailor shop. Thank you and have a great day.
