  • Find somewhere else...find anywhere else. One store in Scottsdale failed to identify contaminated brake fluid (was black and had consistency of honey) on my mother's vehicle and she could have gotten seriously hurt but thankfully only got a ticket when her brakes failed going through a red light. The service advisor that put my mother in serious harms way is now located in the Tempe location, Al. So that was a wonderful surprise seeing him there again. When I went to take advantage of their basic brake service for $90 per axle I expected the typical up-selling and incompetence...and low and behold folks I was not disappointed. They tried to up-sell me a brake flush as well as replacing the grease seals. The service advisor recommend just going ahead and buying new ones for the latter in case they broke them while removing the rotors...they wanted me to pay in advance for parts they said were likely going to break on my car when they did repairs. Apparently they too are aware of the quality of their work. I declined both and thankfully the seals didn't have to be replaced (from spite or incompetence) during the service so that was nice. Upon checking out they still had the cost of the approximately $50 brake flush on the order and I had to ask them to remove it which they promptly did. Whether that was done with bad intentions thinking I may miss it or again incompetence I don't know. While leaving after a 3 hr experience drop off to pick up I found my vehicle unlocked in the parking lot. Fortunately I had nothing in value of the vehicle but still another note of poor service again from Brake Masters. So in conclusion, I went in with low expectations and Brake Masters obliged to disappoint. I should know better from my previous experiences but it appears the poor service can be expected at more than just one location.
