  • If you have curly hair, you know very well that getting a good hair cut is like going to an amazing therapist. Mimi is exactly that: understanding, hilarious, skilled and wise. I live in Asia and about 8 months ago went home to Arizona and needed a haircut so I booked with Mimi. I loved her from the start because I had just come back from a trip to Ethiopia and she shared her experiences of living there with me too. I told her my concerns and desires (i wanted my hair to grow!!!) and she listened, offered advice and gave me a plan that she made sure I was comfortable with. The haircut was nice but what amazed me more than anything is that this woman has the green curly thumb! My hair grew more in the next 3 months than it had in the past three years! I went back again about 5 months later when I needed a trim snd my ponytail was looking scraggly. Once again she listened to me, gave me some tips on how to get more volume in my hair, and gave me a beautiful cut that has already grown in the last few weeks. Mimi is an amazing asset to the curly hair community in Phoenix. I will add that her cutting style is like a combo between ouidad and deva cuts so if you are a deva purist this may not be the place for you. However I had only had deva cuts (and horrendous salon cuts before that) and have never had these results. Thank you Mimi! You are truly the best and worth an international flight ;)!
