  • The staff is friendly. The gym is okay. The equipment is older and there are too many out of order signs but you can still get in a decent workout. Tons of cardio equipment. It gets pretty busy at times so it's tough to follow any sort of workout plan since the weighted machines are generally in use. All in all it doesn't cost much each month and I think the price was fair. So on to complaints... I closed a bank account 4 days before my payment was due. Tried to change the card on file. Was told it was too late and it has to be 5 days out. So my small monthly fee ended up being almost $50 because of fees for when they tried to run my old card. It's anyone's guess why I can't switch a credit card a few days before the payment is due. Ultimately I should have asked before closing the account but I never figured changing my card on file would be such an issue. Then we have cancelling. I tried to cancel since I'm moving out of state. The contract states if you move 25 miles or more away from an EOS or affiliated location there is no $15 cancellation fee. The gentleman on the phone told me that only applies to personal training, even though that is not at all what the contract states. I read the contract to him line by line and he says there is nothing he can do, even though he's at this point 100% aware of the legally binding contract I signed. So then I got transferred to a manager who was supposedly available but now I'm being told I won't get a call back for 1-2 days. So who knows. Not a fan of these dirty tactics. Would prefer the company educated their customer service so they would honor the contract. UPDATE: 9 days later. No one ever called me back. UPDATE #2: Called back again. Once again customer service says they are not able to honor the signed agreement the gym gave me. She says they simply do not have a way to waive the $15 fee. So once again I got transferred to a manager and once again it went straight to voicemail. We'll see if anyone gets back to me this time. UPDATE #3: Finally got a call back 5 or 6 days later. Unfortunately missed the call as I was driving. Called back within a few minutes of the missed call and went straight to voicemail again where I left another message. The voicemail that was left says that they simply have no way in their computer system to honor the agreement. No way to cancel the fee even though the ways outlined to get the fee cancelled are one of the very first things listed in the agreement I signed. Getting really tired of this. Going from 2 stars to 1 until someone actually helps me out and honors the damn contract.
