| - It's hard to say enough good things about Trader Joes. So I'll have to make a list.
1. Size
The biggest thing I dislike about going to the grocery store is how long it takes. Most stores in the US pride themselves on their huge square footages. While this might be nice if you require 17 different brands of olive oil as a must have, it makes most stores huge and overcrowded with people who can't make decisions. Trader Joe's is more of a European style market. There are a few options for each selection, plenty for me, which significantly decreases the size of the store. I can do am entire week's shopping in under 20 minutes. I love it.
2. Employees
The employees at Trader Joe's are treated very well, which causes them to be in a much better mood than employees at other large chain grocery stores. Also, Trader Joe's prides itself in hiring friendly and helpful employees, so there's a general happy dynamic in the store overall.
3. Quality
Trader Joe's takes great pride in the quality of its products. You won't see a Trader Joe's label on any products with artificial preservatives in them. They also have no high fructose corn syrup, which is great for me.
4. Price
You get what you pay for. Some people say Trader Joe's is too expensive. Those people are probably used to getting soggy lettuce from Mexico at Food Lion. You want quality, they have it here for a very reasonable price. Also, if you don't like something for any reason, they'll give you your money back no questions asked.
5. Fellow Customers
There's just something about Trader Joe's customers. They tend to be happier, more friendly, and less angry at the world. The happy workers put off a vibe that the customers just can't help but get swept up in. :)
6. Samples
Need I say more? Everyone loves free food! And this location always has at least one sample for tasting in the back, in addition to mini cups of coffee, which are a nice pick-me-up during my Sunday morning shop.
7. Beer and Wine
Ever heard of Two Buck Chuck? This is where you get it! While the price is closer to $2.79 now, it's still a steal for the quality of the wine you're getting. Plus, they have a large selection of other wines and the staff are always willing to give you an honest opinion about taste, cost, and pairing.
Needless to say, I love this grocery store.
