  • A friend and I decided to try Elmwood spa last weekend - we had both heard fairly good reviews. So we both booked facials and lunch. The facials were lackluster. The lunch was good. Because we had facials we didn't have a chance to check out the water therapies - they don't recommend it after a facial. But it sounds like that's one of the main reasons to go to Elmwood. Its a little disappointing to note that my favorite thing about the place was the salad. I found the ambiance rather antiseptic and boring. It seemed very corporate. However - because we hadn't opted for massages, we weren't directed to the change rooms etc. So while everyone else was lounging in robes - we stayed in our normal clothes the entire time. Perhaps that would have made the difference. In short- I doubt I will be returning. And I don't recommend the facials - you can definitely get a better facial elsewhere, in my opinion.
