  • Bella Vita is Awful ... You don't have to read the whole review. This place is unbelievably bad. Scary bad. I don't know if I can be more direct. Do not waste your time or money - stay away. The details ... I planned a day for my wife to celebrate her 50th birthday. Everything would have been perfect, if not for the Bella Vita experience. This was a surprise for my wife - a day trip to Vegas to have a wonderful lunch, relax and see a show (neither of us are huge gamblers). My wife had been under a great strain and I wanted her to get a really nice massage in between lunch and the show. I researched a number of sites and they all ranked Bella Vita very high. I booked an appointment online and called the establishment a day in advance to confirm. Spoke to Georgina, one of the owners, explained my wife's stress and physical condition (she has some arthritis in her back/neck that flares up) so they could be sensitive to it. Explained that we were traveling in for the day and were not local. I was told to arrive at 3:45 for a 4:00 appointment so they could get everything ready, intake form, prepare my wife etc. We arrived at 3:40 and found the door locked. Kind of unusual, but after knocking for a while a woman came to open the door. She was giving a facial and explained that the "massage therapist" would arrive "very soon." At 4:00 - still no "therapist" and my wife was ready to leave. We were again told that the owner was aware of the situation and the "therapist" would be "a little late." I was optimistic - my wife not so much. At 4:10 Kate (rhymes with "late") arrived. I'll spare any editorializing, let's just say her demeanor and appearance suggested someone with a taste for the consumption of non-organic stimulants. In short, there was not a chance my wife would allow Kate to give her a massage. Ever. Even if she had been on time. Never going to happen. Ever. The biggest disappointment was the reaction of the owner Pablo. He said this was it for Kate and she was being "fired after today" (great- she sucks but let's have her give just one more massage anyway - and her motivation would be...). He apologized and defended his stellar management of the shop (by not being on-site and having this soon-to-be-fired independent contractor giving treatments?). He offered to give my wife a free massage and facial on her next trip. Great - I can fly her in with the expense of airfare (a few hundred), cab fare to & from his crappy shop - comparing that to the cost of just getting a massage in San Francisco - yea, thanks Pablo, but no. Then Pablo waved the red flag in front of the bull. He asked me to suggest what he could do to make it right. To me, that is akin to having me experience the problem and then come up with the solution. So sorry Pablo - you'll have to use those exemplary management skills you profess to have and figure out how to make this right all by yourself. So Bella Vita, Kate and Pablo screwed up an otherwise amazing birthday celebration. I was out $40+ in cab fare, lost over an hour of time, and my put my wife in a crappy frame of mind for the rest of the evening. Thank you Pablo and Georgina. Avoid this place, pretend it doesn't exist, be skeptical of the other reviews, spend your cash somewhere else. In the strongest possible terms - this place just doesn't deserve your business. Please don't make the same mistake that I made.
