  • Decided to act on a long time desire to ride a bike. Took a safe riding program in Boston (streetwise cycle school) late December and got the itch to try and get some serious practice & riding before the spring hits Boston. Had a chance for a long weekend and we booked time in Tucson AZ. Looked for an option to rent a bike for the weekend and after making calls into Phoenix & Tucson area, decided on AZ Ride. Gaylen, Dwight, Margaret and team answered my "many" questions. Being a new rider, wanted to make sure the bike was appropriate for my entry level skills and good for the ~120 mile ride to Tucson. Went with the Yamaha FJR 1300, a somewhat heavy bike but had the power and comfort to easily handle the ride. (I'm a 6'2" 190 lb guy and it fit me well.) AZ Ride provided a route for me to follow to get to Tucson. Kept me off the highway and took me through some beautiful country. So now I'm back home looking at 7' high snow piles in my driveway and already thinking how I can manage a trip back to try another bike.
