I leased two vehicles here and actually left a dealership where I was receiving employee pricing to lease here. The salespeople were great and friendly. I even left a positive five star review as they deserved it. In the deal I was to receive a dealer installed accessory. I was unable to return to the dealership, however, my wife went alone, and ended up waiting in the waiting area for sometime before the service staff told her that the accessory was not at the dealership. I was able to go to the second appointment. Upon arrival I was met with a "why are you here" attitude by both the staff as well as the other customers. I am no stranger to this treatment as I worked as a paramedic in Cleveland for years. Being a white male, I am usually not well received in predominantly black areas. Being thick skinned I can usually shrug off the racism as I am very used to it. My total wait was nearly 2 hours in a very racially uncomfortable waiting room. Being a 14 year military veteran where I served in an intelligence MOS, I could not help to notice that they had a security camera monitor where I could see a vehicle that looked like mine. After nearly two hours in the racially hostile environment I thought that the grumbling and stares were getting too intense for me and my three year old daughter so I decided to check the status of my vehicle. I told the service personal that if the vehicle was not done I would simply take it and return another day. They stated that it was just finishing up and they were bringing it up. I watched in the security monitor as the vehicle that had been sitting for about an hour and a half was started and moved to the pick up area. To my surprise the vehicle that I was watching on the screen was mine. I did think that it was strange that black customers would arrive and were greeted with smiles then pick up their vehicles while I waited. I'm very used to racism against me so I usually don't say anything, however, in this case it was a dealership I gave my business to and I had my daughter with me. I won't be going back for any service.
