  • My wife and I had some friends and thier children visit us from Rockford, IL. So we decieded to take them downtown Madison for a tour and some good eats. My buddy and I both love craft beer so I thought Great Dane would be a cool place to go. The kids could play pool, darts, shuffle board and so much more. We did flights of beers so we could try everything. Very tasty! As for the food this place is always great. I had the best dish ever..... Smotherd fried Chicken cutlets with all types of goodoes on it. Andoullie sausage, artichoke hearts, a delicous sauce served with jalepeno mashed potatos topped with cheese and a side of fresh green beans. Oh my..... a top ten best dish i've ever had! Our friends had some amazing fish tacos and a plate licking burger. Everything was served looking beautiful. Well crafted and plated. My wife had a California turkey club which she said was wonderful. Always happy when all four people, plus our kids enjoy thier meals. Kids had bowl of baked potato soup, a great burger, and a rueben! Well done Great Dane! We will be back again with another large group!
