Full disclosure I wrote a store profile on Pavement for the now defunct Union Hall Times last Spring 2014. Since then coming back as a customer I've experienced what I initially wrote about as "a creative and community-focused space". Pavement, from my couple of visits definitely has a laid back atmosphere with fun and functional inventory. This is also a great store to bring out-of-town visitors to just browse, chat, try things on, and find unique pieces for gifts and for yourself.
My latest visit, back in May, I got a striped tunic that I intended to wear as a graphic, yet comfortable piece during my pregnancy recently featured in my blog: http://outfitsnotjustclothes.blogspot.com/2015/10/going-deep-in-beige-black.html
I also picked up a few gifts for friends and the out-of-towner I brought along got a pendant necklace she loves and has told me since she received many compliments on.
For my next visit I hope to find more quality, easy pieces to see me through postpartum with a bit more style then just oversized tees and leggings.
