| - We needed to get a new kitchen, including a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and gas range. We really liked the LG stainless steel products and were excited to get things picked out and into the house, so we went to the HH Gregg at Golden Gate Plaza in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
We talked with a salesman named Bruce, and they had some of the items we wanted and he said he would double check on the other items and give us a call. After a few days, we heard nothing. We assumed that he was checking things out or was really busy with some of the sales, so we waited. After a week, I called back and asked to speak with Bruce. They said he was not there, and I asked when he would be at work. The person on the telephone then changed her story said that Bruce was there but busy with customers. I left my telephone number and other information and asked that he call me when he was available.
We waited another week and called back a couple of times, each time being told that Bruce was busy or otherwise unavailable. We left messages and never heard back from Bruce or anyone else at HH Gregg. Finally, after about a month of waiting and being ignored, I called and said that unless I hear back from Bruce or anyone else, I would go elsewhere.
Apparently HH Gregg does not care about making sales. We never heard anything from Bruce or anyone else, so my son took me to Best Buy at Great Lakes Mall in Mentor, Ohio, got everything on sale (including free installation, haul away of the old appliances, and other perks), was treated really well, and was in and out in about 15 minutes. Becca was the sales associate who handled everything, and she was OUTSTANDING!! It was probably the easiest $5,000.00 that Best Buy every made.
After I left Best Buy, I called to speak with the manager at HH Gregg. As usual, the person with whom I wanted to speak was "busy" or "not there" or "unavailable". I was placed on hold and transferred around until finally "Nick" picked up the call. I told him that I was disappointed with the way we had been treated and that they had lost a loyal customer. He could not care less and did not even apologize.
Avoid HH Gregg and go elsewhere.
