| - So, treatment is available here and it was clear that the vet knows what he's doing. But this was my first visit and unfortunately, will likely be my last.
The desk woman was fabu. The vet tech (Heather) was fabu. The vet... well, didn't even look at me when he walked in, barely mentioned his name and did not ask mine, was completely disinterested in what I had to say about my dog's problem - cut me off into the third word actually, by his tone you would have thought that I was complicit in my dog getting an allergy for the first time, rattled off three treatment choices without much info to support any of them except that he recommended the expensive one and the cheap one (prednisone) had some minor side effects (i had to ask what they were), barely gave my questions the time of day, and then exited as fast as he could. The tech had to follow him out with her own questions. I could hear them discussing my choices of treatment, which clearly he did not think needed to be discussed directly with me. Heather came back in with prices and some answers, and I made my decision. She then fetched the meds and a pill pocket and attempted (unsuccessfully) to give my dog his medication (he is not a cookie dough flavor fan apparently), then cashed me out, and I left. Although I loved the two ladies, I will never go back, unless just to get a refill if needed. It's too bad, but bedside manner and a little respect for the parent of the patient are the first steps toward trust-building.
