| - This was a very, very mixed experience.
Am a Total Rewards member, and that helped when I checked in. I had(stupidly) booked on Orbitz, rather than going through the TR online portal. Cancelling a week before I was due to leave would have cost me about $250.00....Orbitz states that is what Caesar's Entertainment(Linq parent company) would have charged for the cancel. Anyway...it was about $250.00 CHEAPER to book through the TR online portal.
Had booked a two double bed room, but a king room was available and they let me have it on checking in for the same cost. I stayed from 1/19/17-1/22/17.....there were a lot of conventions in town at that time, and when that happens, they raise the room rate....it was about $205.00 a night after resort fees, taxes and whatnot.
I had no problem with the keycards....you swipe it in the elevator over a sensor to get access to punch in your room floor, and swipe again over your door lock in order to gain entry into your room. It worked and I had no sense of added security risk....but ymmv.
The room itself was small ,but very, very clean. Spartanly appointed, but nice touches. Bottled water was provided at no additional charge and refilled each day(I think, lol, figuring out Caesar's billing has always been a mystery to me). Shower water pressure(no tub) was good, towels were decent.
Bed linens were clean, mattress was comfortable and the pillows were excellent. We turned on the tv to watch The Equalizer(Denzel) on one of the channels....it was easy to use, had good volume control and picture quality/size.
The carpeting, both in room and out, was clean and new-ish. The casino floor was a bit smoky, but not overpowering.
Staff checking me in, at the taxi line and housekeeping were all on point and very helpful.
However...
This is the LOUDEST hotel I have ever stayed at. There is a bar/casino within the LINQ called O'Sheas where they play beer pong, and blast the music. It is truly deafening. Were that not enough, there is a bandstand outside of the LINQ that seems to have live bands/raves going about 18 hours....I think they stopped at 4:00 am on Saturday. My room might as well have been in the middle of it....I could hear any spoken words from the stage and identify the song from the first four bars.
I would stay here again if guaranteed a quiet room.....the location on The Strip was hard to beat and the room was very nice.....but the loudness in general made it the worst hotel experience ever....fwiw, I can, and have been known to, sleep through earthquakes, hurricanes, screaming partiers, screaming children and vehicle collisions....but while the music was playin' at the LINQ...fuggetaboutit.
